It’s a Port City landmark we all know and it may be changing hands.
A deal is in the works that would see Commercial Properties buy the Union Club on Germain Street and lease it back to its current ownership.
Paul Moore, VP of Commercial Properties, tells CHSJ News they expect to do some improvements to the building.
Moore describes the structure as an older gorgeous building that likely needs improvements to all aspects.
The Union Club dates back to 1884 where it was formed by a group of businessman looking for companionship and the exchange of ideas.
David Duplisea of the Regional Chamber of Commerce says it’s good news that this historic building will be allowed to survive and thrive.
