Not one, but two Santa Claus parades are taking place in the Saint John region on Saturday.
The 14th annual Lancaster Santa Claus parade will leave Barnhill Memorial School at 1 p.m.
It will travel along Manawagonish Road and Main Street West, turn right onto Ready Street, left onto Catherwood Street, right onto Fairville Boulevard, and end at Sobeys.
Non-perishable food items are being collected along the parade route for the Westside Food Bank, along with pet supplies for the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue.
The 20th annual KV Santa Claus parade will take place at 6 p.m.
It will leave Kennebecasis Valley High School in Quispamsis and travel along Hampton Road, ending at the intersection of Clark Road and Marr Road in Rothesay.
Those with sensory challenges can watch from the quiet/sensory zone, located along the school zone for Quispamsis Elementary School.
Volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items for the KV Food Basket, used eyeglasses or coats for the Quispamsis Lions Club, and toys for the KV Fire Department.
