The 66th annual Saint John Santa Claus Parade takes place uptown on Saturday night.
Organizers say there are four dozen entries this year, as well as several marching bands.
The parade will leave Crown Street at Union Street at 6 p.m., head onto Union Street, turn left onto Sydney Street, right onto King Square North, left onto Charlotte Street, down King Street, onto Saint Patrick Street, continuing onto Main Street, right onto Lansdowne Avenue, and right onto Wellesley Avenue.
Any vehicles parked along the parade route after 5:30 p.m. will be towed at the owners’ expense.
It is a beautiful day and Santa Claus comes to town tonight! We feel the magic of the season already! #lovelifeuptown https://t.co/a7bBTpRWzg

The Courtenay Bay Causeway will not be used this year, but all five lanes of Crown Street will be closed between Paul Harris Street and Union Street from 3 p.m. until around 6:30 p.m.
NBCC Saint John and New System Laundry will be collecting clean, gently used coats as part of the “Coats for Kids” campaign while city workers will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Community Food Bank.
And do not forget to bring along your letters to give to Santa.
