A man charged in a 16-month crime spree across Charlotte County will spend time in prison.
Joshua Gibson, 29, was sentenced to five years in prison during a court appearance this week.
Gibson pleaded guilty to 27 charges including break and enter, theft, possessing property obtained by crime, discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and assaulting a police officer.
Police said the charges stemmed from a number of offences committed in Little Ridge, St. Stephen, Tower Hill, Oak Bay, Beaver Harbour, Utopia and other surrounding areas.
Gibson was one of two “prolific offenders” arrested by RCMP in the St. Stephen area in Oct. 2023.
At the time, police said he was wanted on five arrest warrants in relation to charges of theft under $5,000, three break and enters, mischief under $5,000 and failure to appear in court.
