Officials in Saint John say they are prepared to deal with whatever this weekend’s storm throws at us.
Crews have been spraying liquid brine onto the high priority streets to reduce the amount of solid ice which forms.
Major arteries, highway connections and emergency routes will be cleared constantly during the storm, with major bus routes and streets connecting schools, community centres and business districts as the second priority.
Crews will then focus on residential collector streets, minor bus routes, industrial parks and subdivisions.

If you do have to be on the roads, you should prepare for changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
Or better yet, stay at home if you can to give plow operators and first responders more room to do their job.
The province recommends checking New Brunswick 511 before travelling so you know what the road conditions are like.
Residents should use available off-street parking where possible to ensure the most efficient snow removal.
You can also help reduce flooding by clearing drainage and catch basins near your property.
