Ten more New Brunswickers who had COVID-19 have died over the past week, according to Public Health.
The weekly COVIDWATCH update shows there have been 378 virus-related deaths since the pandemic began.
The new deaths include a person in their 50s, two people in their 60s, two people in their 70s, two people in their 80s, and three people 90 and over.
Between April 10 and 16, a total of 102 people were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19, up from 41 the week before.
That pushed the seven-day moving average for hospitalizations up to 88, an increase of 10 from a week ago.
As of Saturday, there were 79 people in the hospital for the virus (unchanged from a week ago) and six in an intensive care unit (a decrease of six).
But those figures do not include patients with COVID-19 who are being treated primarily for other conditions.
Public Health has left it up to the province’s two regional health authorities to report those numbers.
Horizon has yet to provide an update, while Vitalité said its latest numbers will not be released until Wednesday this week.
We also do not yet know how many health care workers are off the job as a result of COVID-19. Those figures are also provided by the regional health authorities.
Officials also reported more than 5,600 positive test results over the past week, which includes 2,956 PCR tests and 2,689 rapid tests.
