Anyone interested in sailing this summer can now register for the Rothesay Yacht Club’s Learn-to-Sail program.
Registration for both the junior and adult programs is now open.
Anyone interested in learning to sail will learn the fundamentals of sailing both on land and on the water.
“We have two divisions, one is a youth division which is a day camp that runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and it’s for any child seven and older, but up to 15 general,” said Barbara Creamer, director of the Learn-to-Sail program.
Creamer mentioned that their junior programs also include ‘Wet Feet’ for children aged seven and eight.
“The curriculum is developed by Sail Canada and it’s an initiation into the sport of sailing, and it’s lots of fun.”
The junior sailing programs also consist of four two-week sessions, which run throughout the summer.
Meantime, adults aged 16 and over can sign up for eight-night sailing programs.
Those individuals can choose from four different sessions, each running twice a week throughout July and August.
Sessions adults can sign up for include Monday and Wednesday evenings, or Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
All sessions begin July 4, and anyone interested can CLICK HERE.
