New Brunswick reported 10 additional deaths related to COVID-19 over the past week.
That is according to the latest COVID-19 report, which covers the period from April 3 to 9.
There were 79 people in the hospital for COVID-19 as of Saturday and 13 people in intensive care.
However, when you include the number of people with COVID-19 who were hospitalized for other reasons, the number is significantly higher.
As of Tuesday, Horizon Health reported 119 COVID patients in the hospital, including 10 in an intensive care unit.
Vitalité Health said it had 73 COVID patients as of Monday, and 10 of them require intensive care.
According to the two health authorities, 541 health care workers are off the job due to COVID-19 — either because they tested positive for the virus or were a close contact to someone who did.
Over the past week, Public Health reported 7,734 positive test results, including 3,962 PCR tests and 3,772 rapid tests.
As for vaccinations, 93 per cent of eligible residents have their first dose, 87.7 per cent have their second dose, and 51.6 per cent have their booster dose.
