The KV Kings will host the first U15 AAA Atlantic Championship in two years at the qplex this May.
The tournament was cancelled for the last two years due to the pandemic.
“We are excited to host the top U15 AAA teams in Atlantic Canada. This is a premier event for this age group, and after the 2020 and 2021 Atlantic Championships were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are looking forward to an exciting weekend of hockey in Quispamsis,” said Brogan Bailey, Director of High Performance & Events at Hockey New Brunswick.
The Kings will be joined by other teams from New Brunswick as well as teams from Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia.
Teams start to play on Thursday, May 5th, at 1 p.m. with the championship held on Sunday, May 8th, at 12 p.m.
The event is set to bring $85,000 in economic impact to the Saint John region, according to organizers.
