Job Description
- Completion of month end processes including accruals, recurring journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations
- Administering the company credit card program
- Completion and management of daily and monthly accounting activities
- Review of monthly station P&L’s and serve as the finance liaison with radio stations on financial reporting
- Aid in the preparation of external auditor requirements for the year-end financial statement audits
- Drive efficiencies aimed at improving accuracy, shortening month-end closing cycle and reduction of manual entries
- Participate in financial projects as required
- Performing analysis and ad hoc reporting
- Support the Accounts Payable process as required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and working towards or desire to pursue an accounting designation
- Previous experience in an accounting position
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with experience in Excel
- Experience using JD Edwards would be considered an asset not a requirement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn
- Collaborative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
