Expect to wait at the Gondola Point ferry on Saturday as the Kingston Farmer’s Market opens for the season.
Manager Brian Boucher said last year they opened three weeks later in order to ensure vendors and customers were safe.
Boucher says despite the public health protocols, he heard from a dozen vendors who said it was their best season ever.
“I heard it from the public as well. What we went through to make it safe for the public to come and they felt safe coming. This year, the amount of vendors we had coming, we had to create a waiting list,” Boucher said.
Boucher said again this year they won’t be offering breakfast due to limited space.
“We have a new vendor selling breakfast sandwiches and another selling waffles with all the stuff on it,” Boucher said.
He said this year masks must be worn inside and outside by everyone.
