No one was hurt after a car struck a building in uptown Saint John on Wednesday afternoon.
Barry Oickle, platoon chief with the Saint John Fire Department, says it happened on King Street between Germain and Canterbury shortly after 2 p.m.
Oickle said an elderly woman hit the gas instead of the brake while parking, causing the vehicle to go up over the curb and strike the building.
He said the building was not damaged as the vehicle “barely touched” it; the vehicle received “very little” damage.
Oickle said paramedics tended to the woman, who was a bit shaken up.
