The Wave's Imperial Theater Song Of The Week

To help spread some cheer during these uncertain times, the Imperial Theater is playing a song from their marquee every day!

On Thursdays, we’re taking over their marquee! We want to help spread some cheer across Saint John and play some songs we think will brighten your day.

For our inaugural Imperial Theater Song of the Week, I wanted to share a song that I listen to when I want to cheer myself up.

The song is “All Hands” by former Hey Rosetta! front-man, Tim Baker, from St. John’s, Newfoundland. After announcing the band would go on a indefinite hiatus, Tim Baker released his debut solo album “Forever Overhead” on April 19 2019. The album was shortlisted for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize.

“All Hands” is a song about how important everyone around you can be when it comes to being able to something on your own. During the last few months, even while isolated, the sense of community has never been stronger. From people getting take out from local restaurants more often to checking in on your neighbours and family more often to make sure they’re okay. It takes “All Hands” to make sure we get through this together.
