New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health expresses her sadness for those impacted by this weekend’s shooting.
Dr. Jennifer Russell urged New Brunswickers to reach out to their family, friends and colleagues in Nova Scotia today.
“Your kindness will help them bare the weight of the sadness they are now feeling. they need to know they aren’t alone and we need to be there for them as we have been for our own families and friend during the current COVID-19 pandemic. It’s the least we can do and it will mean so much,” she says.
Furthermore, Dr. Russell had some more encouraging news, announcing no new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick.
There have only been four new cases in the past week, and only 20 of the 118 cases remain active.
Russell says we must remain on our guard and keep doing what has gotten us to this stage by continuing to stay home, as much as possible.
