The Federal government is taking an extra step to improve mental wellness and health during the COVID-19 crisis.
Health Minister Patty Hajdu has introduced a new online tool called Wellness Together Canada.
“Many people are struggling with fear, anxiety and loneliness. Not being able to use our regular support networks or even practice our regular routines; all across Canada it means people are struggling.“
Hajdu says the tool includes self-help resources to help with anxiety, sadness, stress, substance abuse or other issues.
One option is an online Peer Community to talk and share and support others.
Hajdu adds “there are options such as texting, calling or connecting by video for a session with a professional to address a specific need.”
You can access the support by visiting the Canada COVID-19 APP or at www.canada.ca/coronavirus
