A letter has gone out to parents and students stating that New Brunswick’s school system will be closed until further notice.
Deputy Minister George Daley says the closure status will be reassessed during the first week of April, in collaboration with Public Health.
When Education Minister Dominic Cardy first announced school closures, students were expected to return to class on March 30th.
Daley says the Education and Early Childhood Development Department will be working with schools, districts and other associations to pursue learning options for students.
He adds that parents should not expect home learning options until April at the earliest.
