Energy companies are closing their offices in the province in response to COVID-19.
Both Saint John Energy and NB Power announced they will not be disconnecting services due to nonpayment.
While the offices are closed, essential services will still be offered, including outage restoration, essential water heater services and emergencies.
Saint John Energy is waiving interest fees for past due balances until the end of June.
NB Power is asking the Energy and Utilities Board to delay a decision on their general rate application and the installation of smart meters.
Both companies still have some phone services available for customers to call, or online accounts can be used instead.
NB Power customers can call 1-800-663-6272 for support and Saint John Energy customers can call 506-658-5252.
