New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health says we’re living in unprecedented times and we must continue to try and limit the spread of COVID-19.
The province now has 11 confirmed or presumptive cases of the virus.
Dr. Jennifer Russell says three new presumptive cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
“The cases are a woman in her 60s from the southeast region (Zone 1) who had been on a cruise, a man in his 60s from the central region (Zone 3) who had been in contact with a traveller and a woman in her 50s from the central region (Zone 3) who had been to the U.K,” said Russell.
Russell continues to urge New Brunswickers to stay at home if possible and avoid large groups.
She has heard reports to the contrary and warns this could lead to more cases of the virus.
Russell noted how we haven’t experienced anything even close to this pandemic in more than 100 years.
