One person was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a car flipped near the Harbour Bridge.
Saint John police were called to Highway 1 eastbound near the bridge around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers believe the vehicle hit a patch of slush and tried to regain control but struck a lamp pole, jumped the median and flipped on its side.
The driver was taken to the hospital, checked over by health officials, and later released.
The vehicle was completely totalled and had to be towed from the scene.
Officers are reminding drivers to be cautious and drive slowly when roads are wet.
