People flying in and out of the Saint John Airport now have a new-and-improved app to use.
The FlySJ mobile app shows arrivals and departures, weather conditions, and even tips for passengers.
Derrick Stanford, president and CEO of the airport, said they are always looking for ways to make passenger travel a bit easier.
“The app had been around for a number of years but it had sort of fallen by the wayside — it had actually not been available for Android for the last several months — so we were trying to figure out what to do with our app,” said Stanford.

Stanford said there is one thing about the new app they are really excited about — an improved taxi pick-up feature.
“When you arrive late at night and you’re trying to get a taxi and it’s cold and it’s rainy and it’s dark and it’s 2 o’clock in the morning and we thought ‘how could we make that experience better,'” he said.
Passengers are able to reserve a taxi ride to and from the airport and interact with the dispatcher, he said.
Stanford said improving taxi pick-up is something they have heard from airport users quite often.
The app is free and can be found in the iTunes Store and Google Play.
