A mother and son from southwestern New Brunswick are the province’s latest millionaires.
Janet and Jamie Fleet of Lake Utopia won $1 million in the Dec. 14. Lotto Max draw.
They have been buying lottery tickets together for years and are still in disbelief at the win.
Janet cares for Jamie, who lost his vision in a motorcycle crash several years ago, as well as his younger brother, who is also visually impaired.
She says the win means her sons can be cared for in their home once she is no longer able to.
Utopia Convenience in Utopia, which sold the winning ticket, will receive a one per cent seller’s prize.
