If you have thought about checking out the New Brunswick Museum, Saturday is a great day to do so.
The Saint John museum is offering free admission all day as part of International Museum Day.
Laura Oland, the museum’s senior public programmer, said it is a chance to recognize all the work which goes on in a museum.
“Also just looking at the fact the work that happens in a musuem isn’t just what you see when you visit the exhibition centres, that there’s a lot more work that actually happens behind the scenes,” said Oland.

Oland said staff from their collections centre will be there to chat about things like how condition reports are written, how objects are collected, and how specimens are prepared.
You can also check out a couple of the new exhibits which just opened, she said.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
