If you are looking to volunteer with the flood clean-up, the city of Saint John is looking for you.
They are collecting volunteer information to help assist residents who were impacted by floodwaters.
Mike Carr, manager of Saint John EMO, said this is not the first time they have done something like this.
“[We] were very successful last year of using volunteers for the debris clean-up and recovery effort,” said Carr.
Carr said they launched the program a bit earlier this year to help people during the flood and the uptake has been good so far.

Based on last year’s response, city officials said they anticipate needing a large number of volunteers.
If you need help or would like to volunteer, you can visit the city’s River Watch page, email floodvolunteers@saintjohn.ca, or phone (506) 658-2844.
More details about an organized volunteer response are expected to be announced in the coming days.
