The New Brunswick community of Renous has won this year’s Kraft Hockeyville contest.
The winner was unveiled during Saturday night’s edition of Hockey Night in Canada.
Renous will receive $250,000 for upgrades to the Tom Donovan Arena and have the chance to host an NHL game in the community.
Resident Sarah Mullin made the submission to the competition to honour 14-year-old Thomas Dunn, a young hockey player who was killed when his dirt bike was struck by a car in 2018.
