An assault at the Atlantic Institution is under investigation by RCMP and Correctional Service Canada.
Officials say an inmate was taken to the hospital on August 8th and treated for injuries.
He has since been returned to the maximum security prison.
CSC has identified those responsible and says actions have been taken.
