A search is ongoing for two missing crewmembers after a military helicopter crash in eastern Ontario.
Officials say a CH-147F Chinook crashed in the Ottawa River near CFB Petawawa early Tuesday.
In a statement, the Royal Canadian Air Force said the incident happened during a training flight.
Two other crewmembers who were on board were found by first responders and taken to the hospital.
About 50 Canadian Armed Forces members and search and rescue aircraft are assisting local police and fire departments in the search.
The RCAF is aware of an incident involving a CH147 Chinook helicopter that was operating near the Ottawa River in the vicinity of Garrison Petawawa at approximately 12:10 a.m. local time.
