We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Millwright to join our Maintenance Team at our Amherst Evaporation Plant located in Amherst, Nova Scotia. This is not a fly in / fly out position.

Job Description

This position will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of industrial equipment. This includes but is not limited to: belt and screw type conveyors, bucket elevators, automated packaging and wrapping equipment, hydraulic presses as well as associated building infrastructure and support systems.   

Qualifications

You bring to the role:

• Valid Provincial Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
• Experience as a Millwright in the mining industry or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and technical documentation
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience on hydraulic systems
• Experience and/or certification with CWB as a Welder.
• Red Seal Certified preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint).
