A 52-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash southeast of Fredericton.
Mounties say it happened along the Trans-Canada Highway in Mill Cove just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
“The collision is believed to have occurred when the tractor-trailer, travelling eastbound, went off the road and rolled into the median ditch,” police said in a news release on Monday.
The driver and lone occupant, who was from Bloomfield, died at the scene from his injuries, according to police.
One lane of the highway was closed for several hours while the investigation was underway.
Anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Oromocto RCMP at 506-357-4300.
