Moncton has landed at number 15 in a top 25 list of Canadian small cities to live, work and invest in 2022.
Resonance Consultancy regularly ranks destinations around the world and its 2022 report called Moncton “an affordable urban playground which makes its case as a magnetic hometown.”
The Hub City was cited as being thriving and industrious in the heart of a province packed with wilderness and beaches.
The report highly ranked the nightlife fuelled it noted by the youthful energy of the Université de Moncton and mentioned more than 30 restaurants are within a five-minute saunter of a highly walkable downtown.
It said Moncton is packed with family activities to keep locals and visitors busy.
The report also cited affordable housing and the city’s projected growth as desirable factors.
Two other Atlantic Canadian cities made the list and ranked even higher – St. John’s, Newfoundland at number 13 and Fredericton at number 9.
Victoria, B.C. was ranked as the number one small city in Canada with under 200,000 people.
