A Rothesay salon established in the fall of 2019 will expand to uptown Saint John this summer.
The original location of Cedar Rose Beauty is located at 154 Hampton Road in the Sheppard Chiropractic building, while the new Port City location will be on King Street.
The salon offers hairstyling and esthetics, including medical esthetics such as microblading and dermaplaning.
Operations manager Khristie Leblanc said they experienced several closures during the pandemic and last summer, the Rothesay salon reopened and expanded.
“We’ve been very fortunate,” Leblanc said.

Leblanc said they always had a vision of having multiple locations.
“We were kind of peeking around the uptown. We really love the uptown feel. We really love Urban Shoe Myth and when the spot became available right beside [it], we jumped on the opportunity,” Leblanc said.
Renovations are underway now at the new location at 84 King Street.
“We’ve done lots of work for sure. It’s an older building. Everything from flooring, new walls, paints, and fixtures., you name it,” Leblanc said.
Leblanc said they plan to start with five stylists at the new location. The goal is to open before September.
