The emergency department at Horizon Health Network’s Sussex Health Centre will have an early closure on Saturday, July 2, due to a nursing shortage.
It will close at 5 p.m. today and will not reopen until Sunday, July 3, at 7:30 a.m.
During that time, patients will not be seen in the emergency department and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals.
If you require urgent care during that time, you will need to seek treatment at another hospital.
As always, people experiencing a medical emergency should call 911. Additionally, people with non-urgent medical needs can call Tele-Care 811 if they have any questions about the type of medical attention they require, or book a virtual appointment through eVisitNB.
