The 2022 Memorial Cup tournament in Saint John has come to an end.
On Wednesday, the host Saint John Sea Dogs defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 in the final to win the Memorial Cup.
After winning junior hockey’s most coveted prize, the team hosted a celebration parade in the uptown on Thursday afternoon.
Players took a chance to hoist the cup in the air while the crowd cheered them on.
When QMJHL and Memorial Cup tournament MVP William Dufour lifted the trophy, fans and teammates chanted, “MVP! MVP! MVP!”
The parade began on King Street East, went past King’s Square, travelled toward Water Street, and finished at the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.
