One person was injured after an incident in a wooded area near Munson Lake on Sunday evening.
The Musquash Fire Department responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. to a 911 caller who reported pains in their legs and was unable to walk.
First responders had the help of several support teams, including support vehicles and a specialized rescue-equipped side-by-side to the scene, along with its recently deployed digital Trunked Mobile Radio (TMR) system.
“Musquash Fire rescue team, who regularly train for these types of emergencies, navigated the difficult Munson Lake terrain with their side by side and then negotiated challenging forest trails on foot before reaching the caller in need of help,” said the department in a news release.
Rescuers helped bring the person out of the forest to be treated by paramedics at the scene.
