A Moncton-based cannabis producer has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit which alleged medical cannabis contained pesticides.
Organigram has agreed to pay $2.31 million to class members.
The lawsuit alleged the pesticides in the cannabis were not approved for use and it made patients sick.
The cannabis was voluntarily recalled in late 2016 and early 2017.
Filed in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the court must approve the settlement.
A hearing has been scheduled for August 31.
