A series of military exercises have been planned for the Saint John area.
Soldiers from the 37 Signal Regiment will be conducting the exercises every Wednesday to Saturday, beginning June 15. until August 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Soldiers will depart from Barrack Green Armoury on Broadview Avenue and travel to either Carleton Martello Tower or Fort Howe National Historic Sites in Saint John.
They will establish a command post where they will aim to conduct high-frequency communications with other soldiers of the regiment located in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
During the time frame, residents can expect to see a slight increase in military traffic as well as soldiers in uniform.
Participants will not be carrying real or simulated weapons during this training.
