Developing a plan to improve and revitalize the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.
The city of Saint John and the Aquatic Centre’s Commission is seeking public input through a survey.
The survey will help inform and identify potential new initiatives, services, regional partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
“There’s no debating that the Aquatic Centre contributes to the quality of life for our community, but it also assists in attracting and retaining new residents, for that reason we feel it’s important to have this public engagement piece,” mentioned Amy McLennan, general manager of the Aquatic Centre.
“As well, when we think of the Aquatic Centre, we think about little ones being introduced to swimming for the first time, our young athletes training for championships, we’ve got retirees who are catching up with one another in our fitness centre, and for those reasons, we want to make sure all voices are heard for this engagement process,” added McLennan.
The survey opened on June 13 and runs until July 3.
It is available on a paper copy, which can be found at the Customer Service Centre in City Hall or at the front desk of the Aquatic Centre.
As well, can be found on the Shape Your City website.
