Saint John police are investigating a pair of shooting incidents in the city over the weekend.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Churchland Road at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday for reports of shots fired.
Police say a 59-year-old was shot during a robbery and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
“The Major Crime Unit is investigating and they do not believe that this was a random act of violence,” police said in a news release on Monday.
Officers were also called to the 100 block of Adelaide Street around 2 a.m. Saturday after multiple shots were fired at a home.
“It is alleged that the shots were fired from a dark colored sedan. No injuries were reported and the motive is currently unknown,” police said in the release.
The Saint John Police Force’s Major Crime Unit is investigating both incidents.
Anyone with information or video surveillance of the incidents is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
