You can have your say on the future of the Saint John Airport for the next two decades.
A survey has been launched as part of the airport master plan public consultation process.
Sandy Ross, president and CEO, said the airport is at an inflection point with travel returning after the pandemic.
“We’re trying to make some decisions about the Saint John Airport to really kickstart it, get more of our market share and provide a better offering to the travelling public out of Saint John,” Ross said in a recent interview.
“We’re in the middle of an upgrade to the airport. We’re going to be expanding the departure area, we’re expanding the food services, we’ve made some changes to the ticketing area. We’re invested to make this a better place for the travelling public.”
The Saint John Airport has engaged SNC-Lavalin to update the airport master plan with the goal of establishing the direction for the optimal development of the airport over the next 20 years.
Transport Canada requires the Saint John Airport to submit a master planning document every 10 years.
Ross said the online survey that has been launched will take about five to 10 minutes to complete.
“There’s an opportunity to answer about 10 questions to get your say on what you would like to see the future of the airport, whether it’s focused on a larger terminal building or more routes or different parking,” he said.
The survey can be found by clicking here. It will be open until June 3.
