Two adults and a five-year-old were rescued after getting stranded on the Maces Bay Ledges.
The Musquash Fire Department received a report on Sunday that three people were stranded and were unable to return to shore due to being cut off by the rapidly rising Bay of Fundy tide.
The fire department dispatched two rescue boats and 15 firefighters.
As well, established an incident command centre with support from the New Brunswick RCMP and Ambulance NB.
The water rescue team used GPS and radar to navigate the Bay of Fundy in heavy fog to safely locate the three people and return them to dry land.
Musquash Fire says it responds to several calls a year to help people stranded by the rapidly rising tide, especially on the popular Maces Bay Ledges.
