Saint John police say they are investigating a weekend stabbing that sent a man to the hospital.
Officers responded to the area of Waterloo and Paddock streets around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
“A 43-year-old man had allegedly been stabbed on Waterloo Street and transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries,” police said in a news release on Monday.
An officer located and arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the incident about two hours later.
Investigators said the victim and the suspect are known to one another.
The Saint John Police Force’s Major Crime Unit is investigating.
