The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in New Brunswick has climbed to 406 after seven deaths last week (May 1-7).
In its weekly update, Public Health reports hospitalizations have dropped to 47 which is a big drop from 81 the week prior.
Six patients are now in the ICU which is a drop of two.
Officials said individuals in their 60s and 70s now make up the highest proportion of those in hospital.
More than 2,300 positive PCR and rapid tests were recorded.
National data showed a continued decrease in case counts across Canada following a slight upward trend.
In terms of those eligible for shots in New Brunswick, 88 percent are now fully vaccinated and 52 percent have received a booster dose.
