A home in Black River is a total loss but no one was hurt in the fire on Monday morning.
Crews from Simonds Fire Rescue responded shortly after 9 a.m. to the structure fire off Route 825.
On arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming out the roof and eaves.
Simonds Fire Rescue is thankful for the mutual aid from other departments with water supply and additional firefighters.
Crews from K.V., St. Martins, Upham, Nauwigewauk, Hampton and Saint John all provided help.
