Nova Scotia’s Jeopardy! champ has been taken down after 23 straight victories and a four-week run on the show.
Mattea Roach was beat by $1 on Friday night ending her historic run.
Danielle Maurer, a digital marketing manager from Georgia was just a bit better but it came down to Final Jeopardy! and ended in dramatic fashion.
Maurer, who wagered $4,200 on the final clue and got it right to move her total to $15,600.
Roach answered incorrectly and $3,601 wager dropped her total to $15,599.
She pulled in $560,000US during her record streak and will be back for the Tournament of Champions.
Feeling proud and reflective tonight – thank you again so much to all who have supported me during my run. It's almost exactly four months to the day I got the call to go on Jeopardy, and I had no idea back then how much my life would change as a resulthttps://t.co/IuvUpz9t8m
