The Kingston Farmers Market experienced growth during the pandemic.
Manager Brian Boucher said they had about 40 vendors in 2020 which increased to 65 last year.
On opening day Saturday, he said they will have about 100 vendors.
“I can’t give you an accurate number for sure but, I know at the end of the season in 2020 and 2021, vendors that have been here for years actually came up to me and said it was their best season ever after years and years of being here,” Boucher said.
Several Kingston vendors are part of the so-called ‘farmers market circuit’ with most a regular part of the Queen Square Farmers Market.
The new season for the Kingston Farmers Market begins Saturday running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Vendors and visitors can see a performance by Matt Currie.
