A case of the avian flu closer to home in New Brunswick.
The Canadian Food inspection Agency has identified a small flock of less than 100 chickens with the virus in the Turtle Creek area.
The Agency says the affected chickens have already been humanely euthanized and disposed of to prevent the spread.
They believe the source of the outbreak is through the wild bird population.
The agency adds there is no evidence to suggest meat or eggs can transmit the virus to humans and poultry products from locations under investigation are not permitted to enter the food chain.
