Another four contracts have been awarded for the Fundy Quay development.
On Monday, Saint John Common Council approved four contracts for the public space portion of the development.
Custom Ice Inc. has been awarded to supply ice rink refrigeration equipment for the outdoor winter rink. The contract is for $179,400 plus HST.
ABC Recreation Ltd. will supply the water fountain mechanical equipment for $216,899.07 plus HST.
Polycor Inc. has been awarded the contract to supply 299 pieces of granite blocks in a variety of styles. It will cost the City of Saint John $210,653.30 plus HST.
Finally, Openaire Inc. will supply glazed structures for $1,123,000.00 plus HST.
“The glazed structures are part of the design to make the Market Square Boardwalk a 4-season space, with a heated indoor patio during winter months,” reads a staff report.
According to the report, more than $12.6 million has been budgeted for architectural design, construction management services, and construction for this project.
