As Saint John develops an action plan to address affordable housing, the city is seeking your input.
Officials say a 10-minute survey has been launched on the Shape Your City Saint John website.
“Information gathered will help to shape Saint John’s Affordable Housing Action Plan as it progresses,” the city said in a news release.
The survey comes just weeks after the initial findings of a housing needs assessment done as part of the plan were released.
Conducted by SHS Consulting, the assessment looked at three key areas: housing demand, supply and affordability.
It also identified four gap areas in the local housing market, including housing to address the needs of most vulnerable households, affordable rental housing, affordable ownership housing, and supportive/special needs housing.
City staff launched the affordable housing action plan project in August. The draft is expected to be completed by late June.
