It is National Volunteer Week.
The Saint John Police Force is thanking citizens who give up their time and volunteer for the organization.
The force is recognizing citizens who volunteer with the victim services team, who provide 24/7 critical support for those impacted by traumatic life events.
As well, Auxiliary Officers who provide operational support to frontline members in patrol services and support the organization with various community events and initiatives.
Also, the force thanks members from the peer support team who ensure that the mental health and wellness of officers and support staff are never forgotten.
Final, the force is thanking all current and retired members and staff that have volunteered countless hours of their own time to make Saint John a better place to live and play.
