Home building and renovation leaders from southern New Brunswick and beyond will descend on Saint John this weekend.
The Saint John Home Show is gearing up for its return to TD Station for the first time in three years.
Show manager Brian McKiel said there is a lot of excitement heading into the three-day event.
“People are just tired of using the computer to buy things. They want to feel, touch, they want to talk to these exhibitors that are in the shows,” McKiel said in an interview.
The home show, which is marking its 43rd edition this year, has not been held since the spring of 2019.
Organizers were hours away from opening the doors to the public in 2020 when COVID-19 forced them to cancel the event.
“Unfortunately, all of the exhibitors had to tear down all of their exhibits, pack it all up and go home. Very, very disappointing,” said McKiel.
More than 60 exhibitors are signed up for the home show, including many long-time exhibitors.
Visitors will have the chance to shop the latest trends, get expert advice, and shop energy efficiency products.
This year will include an energy feature with Saint John Energy, NB Power, Clear Power Solutions, and the New Brunswick Lung Association.
Representatives from the Tír na nÓg Forest School in Saint John will also be there to discuss their programs.
“Visitors reliably leave inspired with a plan of action for their next home project,” said McKiel.
The home show begins at noon on Friday and continues through Sunday afternoon.
