A second community along the Saint John River is expected to be above flood stage later this week.
The latest River Watch forecast, issued Tuesday, showed Jemseg surpassing flood stage on Thursday.
The community is expected to remain at or just above flood stage through Sunday morning.
Just down the river in Gagetown, water levels surpassed flood stage on Monday and are forecast to remain there through the weekend.
Meanwhile, River Watch anticipates all other communities will remain below flood stage over the next five days.
Six areas are at flood watch level, or within one metre of flood stage, including Saint John-Quispamsis, Grand Lake, Sheffield-Lakeville Corner, Maugerville, Fredericton, and Woodstock.
Seven other areas are at flood advisory level, or within two metres of flood stage. They include Hampton, Oak Point, Durham Bridge, Hartland, Simonds, Saint-Hilaire, and Clair.
In most of those communities, water levels are forecast to be lower on Sunday morning than they are currently.
